Festival Regulations
a) To submit a film to selection by
the Festival Organizing Comiteé, must send an entry form accompanied by a copy
on DVD. The material should be sent before August 31th 2009.
b) The material must
be sent to the following address:

On the
envelope please write: “sin valor comercial -
solamente con propósito cultural”.
(“no
comercial value – for cultural purposes only”). We strongly recommend to
declare the blank material used for prints and pay the 1 U$s fee to avoid
expensive and unnecessary custom taxes. This address is only for common postal
service, if you need to send the material by Fedex, DHL, TNT or other
courier, please send us e-mail to ask for mailing dress for such aim.
(foreign
directors and producers contact the Festival Organization regarding the
possibility of sending the copies through the country embassy).

c) The Entry Form is
without cost. Shipping/mailing must be fully paid by the participant. The
Festival will not pay for any mailing/shipping related expense or tax.
d) The Festival
Comiteé will only consider for selection genre-oriented
works (horror, bizarre, science-fiction and fantastic) such as: short films,
small feature and feature films
e) If the film is
selected to participate on the Festival, the Comiteé will contact the producer
or director to decide the screening format. Available screening formats
are: 35mm, DVD (PAL o NTSC), DVcam o
BETACAM SP (PAL). The shorts feature only will screning in DVD.
f)
The
Festival sections are:
1)
Feature Competitive Section: Only for features
made on video, digital video, 16 mm or any other film format and finished on
video and with copy of projection in video. Films must have been produced after
January 1st 2008. The
Comiteé will not accept films previously released commercialy in Argentina.
2)
Feature Informative Section for feature films
in any format, including 35 mm.
3) Short Film
Competitive Section: short films in any format, 25 minutes top lenght,
produced after January 1st 2007.
4) Shorts and small
Feature Informative Section: non limit of lenght or format.
g) The Festival will
take into their best consideration for all-sections programming those films
which had no public screening in Buenos Aires City or its surroundings.
h) Once the film is
selected, it cannot be screened in Buenos Aires City or its surroundings until
the Festival is over. The entrant cannot withdraw the film from teh Festival
once it has been selected for participation.
i)
The Festival Director will select the jury members of every section. Members
cannot be those related or with special interest on the production and/or
explotation of the films in competition.

- Best Short Film
- Best Feature Director
- Best Short Film Director
- Best Feature Actress
- Best Feature Actor
- Best Feature Screenplay
- Best FX Feature
- Audience Award for Best Feature
- Audience Award for Best Shor Film
Films cannot receive more than two prizes.
The
Jury can give special mentions. Films cannot receive more than two special
mention.
k) The Festival has
the right to select the films, to determine in which section will be in, and to
programm the screening day and order of exhibition. The films cannot be retired
from the Festival once selected.
l)
The films must be sent with the following material: at least 1 photo of
the film (printed or scanned at 300dpi, JPG on CD or disk), press release and
bio-filmography of the director. Other material will also be accepted (poster,
trailer and other promotional material)
m) Original languaje
must be Spanish or with spanish subtitles. If not, a dialogue list in spanish
or in english must be submitted for translation and subtitling.
n)
The
following screening authorization form must be submitted with the film, on
separate sheet, with date, sign and name of the responsable.

Aires Rojo Sangre Internacional Film Festival, from October 29ht to November 4th of 2009 in the City of Buenos
Aires, Argentina”
o) The Festival
accepts to screen the films with no more than 3 runs.
p) No entry fee
required for submission/participation.
q) By submitting a
film to the Festival, the entrant accepts the Rules and regulations. The
Festival organizers will decide over any issue that may come up during
the Festival, and their decision will be final.
